You know what? It’s wild how “stuff” sticks in the subconscious.
Now that I’m thinking about it, the summoning does read a bit like the dog’s transformation in the cell.
Except that here it’s a cat and it’s a demon.

My mom was a big horror freak when I was growing up.
I had seen The Omen and all those classics by the age of 5-6
